When it comes to the challenge of both the Dakar Rally and FIM Cross Country-Rallies World Championship, the two KTM Rally factory teams – the Red Bull KTM Rally Factory Racing Team and the KTM Rally Factory Racing Team – need to be best equipped. For the coming season KTM Motorsports is pleased to have the continued support of Moto-Master, suppliers of superior replacement and high performance motorcycle brake systems.

With the recent retirement from active competition of Red Bull KTM’s multi Dakar winner Marc Coma, the most decorated and distinguished Rally competitor of the modern era, KTM now lines up both experienced riders and those with exciting emerging talent.
Riding for the Red Bull KTM Rally Factory Racing Team are Jordi Viladoms(ESP) and Sam Sunderland (GBR). Also in the team are Australia’s Toby Price, who placed third in his debut ride in the 2015 Dakar Rally, and Austria’sMatthias Walkner, who has already exhibited exceptional talent and determination in his first time out in 2015 in the season’s premiere event. Also joining the lineup is KTM’s multi Enduro champion Antoine Meo, who made his rally debut at the Atacama Rally in September and who will compete with the team in the 2016 edition of the Dakar Rally.
The second lineup, the KTM Rally Factory Racing Team, also has a strong presence exciting rider Laia Sanz of Spain who, with a ninth overall final place, was the most outstanding woman competitor in the Dakar 2015, and Chilean rider Pablo Quintanilla who finished fourth overall in the 2015 edition and won Stage Eight from Uyuni to Iquique.
Stefan Huber, KTM Rally Factory Racing Team’s Technical Director: “We’ve been working with Moto-Master from the beginning of the development of the KTM 450 RALLY bike. We use a 298mm flame design floating disc for the front, which comes with an aircraft aluminium inner carrier for lighter weight. On the rear we use a 240mm flame design disc. This is extra thick and allows us to deal with high temperatures. All this helps us to keep the temperature low for high-speed stages, and it provides us with equipment that our riders can trust. For the new KTM Rally generation we certainly need good brakes because we have very fast riders!”
